GatorHAVEN

requires Flash® player
During the spring of 2011, student body president Taylor Ashton initiated and chaired a task force to develop and maintain an anti-bullying program at Green Valley High School we now call GatorHAVEN. Over the summer and into the fall, students, staff, and departments became involved in the project. More information is here.

CHECK OUT THE POSTER GALLERIES

Make your own 18 x 24 inch poster. The LMC has more information.

RELEVANT STANDARDS:

Here's what making a poster allows you and requires you to  do:

You can express what is important to you, and you can do so in both words and pictures.

When you decide on exactly which words and pictures to use, you then practice laying them out in the most visually appealing and striking way.

Of course, the pictures need to be relevant, and the words need to say exactly what you intend to say. You'll practice precision and economy.

You also practice using software applications. Microsoft® Publisher® is especially useful.

You are required to cite sources or acknowledge that a source is not you if one cannot be found (e.g. an anonymous quotation).

Finally, you can share your work by physical or electronic display.
