HOURS

The LMC opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 3:00 p.m. each school day and is open both lunches.

When possible, closures are posted in advance.

GENERAL

Students coming to the library media center during any instructional period must be accompanied by their teacher or must present a legibly completed CCF-697 hall pass from their teacher for that period.

Staff of the library media center will not write late passes for students who have waited until the last minute to make copies, print a document, check out a book, or renew a book.

Students who enter the library media center during a lunch period are not permitted, without authorization, to exit until that lunch period has ended. This includes students who are visiting the College and Career Center. The policy's purpose is to help control student traffic in hallways during lunch periods.

 

 

BORROWING BOOKS & MATERIALS

Up to two books at a time may be checked out.

The checkout period is two weeks.

Renewals are limited.

Students who have unreturned overdue books or owe late fines may not borrow library materiuals until all books are returned and/or all fines paid, including books and fines from other schools.

COMPUTER USE

Priority for use of computers goes to students who have research needs.

Students must have a fully completed Annual Reslease and Network Access (ARNA ) form on file to use library computers.

Through inappropriate use, students risk loss of privileges.

Students may only use websites consistent with guidelines of the Acceptable Use Policy.

Students of teachers who have brought classes to the library have computer priority.

 

 

ATMOSPHERE

Staff and students are expected to help keep the Library Media Center a quiet and pleasant place to read, browse, do school work, or in some way be productive.

During presentations or performances, students are expected to demonstrate audience etiquette.

The Library Media Center is not to be used for socializing or for staying warm or cool.

Staff and students in the Library Media Center are expected at all times to be positive, pleasant, and respectful.

Students are expected to help keep the Libnrary Media Center neat, clean, and organized.ite late passes for students who have waited until the last minute to make copies, print a document, check out a book, or renew a book.
